Asantehene Approves Enstoolment of New Boamang-Maasehene

The road has been cleared for the enstoolment of a chief for Boamang-Maase in the Afigya Kwabre North District of the Ashanti Region, after more than a decade, thanks to the Occupant of the Golden Stool.
The kingmakers were given the nod to enstool Dr Boadi Ayeboafo as the chief during the Kumasi Traditional Council meeting on Monday, February 10, 2025, after presenting the candidate to His Majesty.
“Go and enstool him,” Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, Asantehene said, approving the enstoolment at the Council meeting.
In an interview with Opemsuo Radio’s Johnson Owusu Aduomi after the affirmation of Otumfuo, the overjoyed family head of the Aduana clan at Boamang-Maase, Nana Antwi Boasiako, hailed the King as just as he prayed for longevity for him.
“Otumfuo has ruled for peace to reign in Asante and extended to all parts of Ghana and Africa. He is just…We pray that God bless His Majesty with long life, health and strength so he can continue to make peace reign.”
Background
The process to enstool a chief was stalled after Nana Owusu Detwa II, Safiesohene, claimed ownership of the town with an invocation of the Great Oath.
This was challenged by Nana Antwi Boasiako, the family head as the litigation spanned for about 12 years.
The case was finally called before the Council during which the Asantehene ruled that Safiesohene had no business and authority over Maase.
