Asantehemaa Dɔte Yie Day 1: Who Can File Past the Late Queen Today?

As the way has been cleared with the needed rites, selected dignitaries and the general public will have the opportunity to file past the late Queen, Nana Konadu Yiadom III, today, September 15, 2025.

There is an orderly sequence of attendance for sympathisers for all four days at the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi.

Persons scheduled to attend today are Churches and Clergy, Political Parties, Educational Institutions, NGOs, Telecommunication Companies, Corporate Institutions, all recognised associations and the General Public.

Addressing the press on Friday, Nana Effah Appenteng, the Chairman of the Burial Rites Committee, said mourners must strictly follow all guidelines.

Meanwhile, some directives have been issued to guide members of the public who will be attending from September 15 to September 18.

Below are the guidelines:
1. All Cars parked wrongfully within the vicinity of the Manhyia will be towed away from 14th September 2025.

2. All citizens whose route falls within the blocked roads must seek alternative parking to avoid any inconvenience.

3. All deliveries into the Palace and any Service provider MUST complete their delivery by the close of day SATURDAY, 13th of SEPTEMBER 2025.

4. No recording device (cameras, microphones, phones, pens, buttons, etc.) should be brought for the filing past of Asantehemaa.

5. Neither Funeral Planning nor the Gyaase of Manhyia has instructed anybody to collect any donation or its sort from anybody, so anyone who does that should be arrested.

6. The public can go about their business as normal, but not on Thursday, 18th September 2025, when out of respect for the Asantehemaa, all activities must be halted.

7. All motorcycles, mopeds and tricycles will not be permitted into the blocked areas of the Manhyia palace, unless they are accredited.

8. The PUBLIC CAN FREELY PARK at the Central Mosque, Degraft Memorial Methodist Church premises and Asawase Metro Cluster of Schools. All property will be well protected by the Ghana Police Service and other security agencies.

9. All street VENDORS should stay clear of the main street of the Manhyia Palace. Any vendor who wants to sell should contact the Manhyia Administration.

10. The public should kindly STAY AWAY from the DAIS unless duly accredited.
