Asantehene to Host German President During Ghana Visit

The President of Germany, Bundespräsident Frank-Walter Steinmeier, will have the honour of being hosted at the Manhyia Palace by the King of the Asante Kingdom, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, in November when he embarks on a state visit.
The two-day visit will begin on November 3, according to a statement by the German Presidency.
The President of the Swiss Confederation will first meet President John Dramani Mahama in the capital, Accra, on November 3.
He will also exchange ideas with representatives of civil society and start-up founders.
The meeting with the Monarch is slated for November 4, in Kumasi.
“In Kumasi, he will also find out about German-Ghanaian projects in vaccine research and vocational training.”
This will be the second trip to Ghana by President Steinmeier after the first in December 2017.
Prior to the visit to Ghana, Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier and Elke Büdenbender will travel to the Arab Republic of Egypt from November 1 to 2.
From November 5 to 7, he will make a historic visit to the Republic of Angola.
He is in the company of a business delegation.
