Asanteman celebrates First Akwasidae of the year 2023

The first Akwasidae of the year 2023 was celebrated at the Manhyia Palace on February 5, 2023.
Sitting in state to receive homage were the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, and Asantehemaa, Nana Konadu Yiadom III.
The King and Queen were joined by dignitaries from all walks of life including the British Ghanaian actor Idris Elba, Regional Security Council led by Hon Sam Pyne, Mayor of Kumasi , Vice Chancellor of the Kwame Nkrumah University Of Science and Technology (KNUST), Mrs. Rita Akosua Dickson, traditional rulers, and several others.
