Akwasidae: KPMG Country Manager Seeks Asantehene’s Blessing

Mr. Andrew Akoto, the newly appointed Country Managing Partner for KPMG Ghana, has submitted to the counsel and direction of the King of the Asante Kingdom, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.

With an impressive 30 years of experience at KPMG, Mr. Akoto rose through the ranks and has finally been elected as the Manager.

He formally informed Otumfuo about the feat at the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi on May 25, 2025, when he joined the fourth Akwasidae Festival.

In his speech, he underscored the weight of the mandate, submitting that he would only be successful with the blessings of the Monarch.

He intends to leverage this new position of his to serve Asanteman further.

“We accepted because we wanted to contribute to the development of Ghana. We ask for his guidance and counsel so that our work will be easier.”

He was in the company of some partners and friends, including Kwabena Asamoah, Michael Boateng, Kwame Sarpong Barnieh, and lawyer Yaw Boafo.
