Asanteman Concludes Burial Rites For Asantehemaa Nana Konadu Yiadom III

The four-day burial rites for the late Nana Konadu Yiadom III, Asantehemaa, has come to a successful end.

The rites climaxed with a burial service on September 18, 2025, at the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi led by the Anglican Church.

Presiding over the event was Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, Asantehene.

It witnessed the reading of tributes, prayers and laying of wreaths by selected dignitaries.

The Asante Kingdom was joined by President John Dramani Mahama, Deputy Eswatini Prime Minister Senator Thulisile Dladla, Former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and Former President John Agyekum Kufuor.

Former Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, Former Second Lady Samira Bawumia, former First Lady Nana Agyemang Konadu Rawlings, IGP Christian Yohunu, BoG Governor Dr Johnson Asiamah and others were also present.

The late Queen will be laid to rest tonight at the Breman Abusuakruwa Mausoleum.
