Dɔte Yie: Watch Arrival of Asantehemaa Nana Konadu Yiadom III For Burial Service

The remains of the late Queen of the Asante Kingdom, Nana Konadu Yiadom III, have arrived for her burial service at the Dwabrem grounds of the Manhyia Palace.

She was conveyed in a royal casket decorated with gold and silver emblems to the grounds at exactly 3 pm on September 18, 2025, while Asanteman observed the final day’s rites to make way for Her Majesty’s burial.

Before she was moved to the grounds, the King, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, paused his welcoming of guests and visited her residence to see to the needed rites for her to be put in the casket.

A large procession led by His Majesty followed the Queen to the grounds.
