Nana Konadu Yiadom III Dɔte Yie: Manhyia Bans Secret Recording Devices

Ahead of the four-day burial rites of Nana Konadu Yiadom III, Asantehemaa’s burial rites, the Manhyia Palace has announced a ban on secret recording devices.
This was particularly directed to the general public who will have access to file past the remains of the revered leader from September 15 to September 18.
“No recording device (cameras, microphones, phones, pens, buttons, etc.) should be brought for the filing past of Asantehemaa.”
The media is also restrained from accessing the Palace of the Queen with video or recording gadgets.
In addition, the Palace has banned drone flying around the Palace of the late Queen during the period.
“No drones should fly in and around Nanahemaa’s Palace. Any drone that violates this would be shot down.”
Around the sitting ground, it noted that only accredited drones with stickers would be allowed to fly.
It furthered, “The media should be circumspect with the visuals they send out. Any inappropriate footage would not be accepted.”
