What At All Do you Seek; Disappointed Asantehene Asks Bantamahene

The King of the Asante Kingdom, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has expressed disappointment in Baffour Owusu Amankwatia VI, Bantamahene, for his implication in multiple disputes, eroding peace in some communities.
Otumfuo reckons that he shouldn’t have any business in any of the communities in question.
At the Kumasi Traditional Council sitting on March 13, 2025, Baffour was summoned before the King after a Committee report on Adanwomase dispute over the community’s deity, was heard.
Before the Council, he was slapped with a fine of eight rams, two of which had to be paid instantly for defying the orders of the King in relation to case.
Alongside this particular case, Otumfuo outlined a number of cases the chief was involved and questioned his intent for fueling tensions.
“What at all do you seek?” the visibly disappointed Monarch asked.
However, he stressed that his first priority was to settle the Adanwomase issue before addressing the other concerns.
