2023 Ghana’s Strongest Winner Joins Akwasidae
The winner of the 2023 edition of Ghana’s Strongest, Godfred Akolbila joined the occupant of the Golden Stool, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II in the celebration of Akwasidae at the seat of the Asantehene.
The seven-time participant in the competition presented his Gold medal and winning belt to the King.
This was on Sunday, September 3, 2023.
In his address, he told the King he was a resident of the region and thereby saw the need to share his journey in the competition with the King as his blessing catalyzed his victory.
Akolbila finally won the competition after trying it for the seventh time. During his participation in last year’s edition, he came second.
That did not seem to have succeeded in discouraging him as he joined the competition the seventh time this year and finally clutched the title.
3News reports that his advantage came in his exceptional performance in a series of staggering challenges, including the Truck Pull, Jumbo Deadlift, Superset Bench Press, Giant Tyre Flip, and Aboboyaa Deadlift.
Akolbila, as part of his winning prizes, took home a brand-new car and GHC 10,000.
