All businesses are expected to close in honour of Nana Konadu Yiadom III, the late Queen of the Asante Kingdom, on the eighteenth day of September, the King has decreed.

The day will be used to mourn the deceased traditional leader.

“On that day, there will be no noise. No shop will open. All will join Asanteman to mourn, and we will bury the Queen at Breman,” Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, said through his linguist, at the One Week of the Queen on August 21, 2025.

He noted that the dress code is black and not red.
