King Mswati Invites Asantehene For A State Visit

The King of Eswatini, Mswati III, has extended an invitation to the King of the Asante Kingdom, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, for yet another state visit to the southern African country.

Otumfuo first visited the country in 2015.

King Mswati is in Ghana reciprocating that visit which took place exactly 10 years ago.

After experiencing the vibrant culture and unmatched reception of the Asante Kingdom, His Majesty deems it fit to invite Otumfuo again to experience their culture as well.

The Occupant of the Golden Stool is being invited to participate in one of the national cultural celebrations of Eswatini.

“Now that we have experienced the full splendour of your wonderful culture, we take this opportunity to extend an invitation to His Majesty to join one of our national cultural celebrations. We have no doubt the experience shared with us will be well reciprocated.”

His Majesty on that note expressed his deepest gratitude for this extraordinary welcoming reception.

The King further described Otumfuo as a visionary leader whose leadership is exemplary for traditional African leaders.

“Your Majesty, your visionary leadership is a beacon for African Traditional rulers. May the Golden Stool continue to shine and may Asantehene and Eswatini walk hand in hand preserving our heritage, modernising our traditions and building a future where our children proudly carry our culture forward “
