Asantehene and Wife Honoured with Customised Solid Gold Timepieces

The Director of Hourhand Watch Company, Patrick Amofah, has gifted the Occupant of the Golden Stool and his wife customized solid gold timepieces.

The luxurious wristwatches were presented to the Manhyia Palace by the young Ghanaian entrepreneur when he joined the Awukudae Festival on Wednesday, February 12, 2025.

The bottom of the watches’ faces respectively bears the image of Otumfuo Osei Tutu II and Lady Julia while the caseback of both bears the Asante flag.

Amofah was led by Oheneba Owusu Korkor, Asamponghene who also spoke on his behalf before the Asantehene and Nananom.

“He is here for the blessings of Otumfuo.”

This is the second time Amofah has honoured the King with his masterpiece. In July 2023, he presented an 18-karat gold electro-plated customized wristwatch valued at GH100,000 to the King.

The watch was the customized version of a new brand of watches called Warrior King Heritage, which at the time the company was about to introduce onto the market.

In an interview with opemsuo.com on the sidelines, he said his gesture was in recognition of the King’s contributions towards the peace and development of Ghana.
