Put Ghana Ahead Of Party; Otumfuo Tells NPP Ahead Of Primaries
Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the monarch of the Asante Kingdom has admonished the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to prioritise the nation ahead of the party demands.
He noted that whoever will be elected during the Presidential primaries will subsequently become President if given the nod by the country and therefore must be selected taking that into concentration.
He said this when Alan Kyerematen, one of the Party’s aspirants, called on him at the Manhyia Palace on Monday, January 30, 2023.
“Your party members must bear in mind that they are not electing someone to lead the party alone but all Ghanaians. Put Ghana ahead of the party.”
Otumfuo advised Alan to manifest the good morals with which he was nurtured and put away foul words as he embarks on his campaigns.
“Do not verbally abuse anyone. Just deliver what you have for the country. When you are elected, do what you can do for Ghana to develop.”
Otumfuo noted that he will be available to him whenever the need may arise.
“Whenever he (Alan) needs advice and direction, I’m available.”
