Your Actions will Either Diminish or Elevate Your Stool – Asantehene

The King of the Asante Kingdom, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has stated that the prominence of a black stool depends on the actions of its occupant.
According to the Monarch, there is nothing like an inferior stool.
“There is nothing like a minor stool. It all depends on you. What you do on the stool will either make it honourable or not. Service elevates a stool.”
This counsel was directed at the chief of Manso Keniago, Nana Obeng Mensah Ababio, when he stood before the Asantehene on March 10, 2025, to take the oath of allegiance.
Otumfuo further advised the new traditional leader against being guided by greed.
“Don’t be controlled by greed and don’t treat your position as a fashion statement. You have been given an esteemed position reserved for the elderly.”
